Trentham Full-Home Bathroom Overhaul

CSI-25.jpg
3 bathrooms | Full structural works | 11-week total project

This project came to us through our website—clients returning from years abroad, ready to breathe new life into their beautiful home in Trentham. After renting the property out for a long time, they wanted a full refresh of all three bathrooms—and from the moment we met, it was clear we were a great fit.

Each room brought its own challenges, but what tied the whole project together was the trust they placed in us to not only deliver beautiful finishes, but to do everything the right way—structurally and visually.

Phase 1 – Main Ensuite

Luxury, light, and balance in a previously wasted space

The largest of the three bathrooms was a spacious ensuite with an awkward, underused layout. We reimagined the entire room—installing a large walk-in shower with a bespoke frameless glass panel, a beautiful wall-hung WC, extra built-in storage, and a huge double basin with feature lighting.

One of the biggest wins in this room came from behind the scenes. After discovering the original joists had been installed incorrectly and weren’t fixed into hangers, we brought in our structural builder to reinforce the entire floor with new joists—ensuring no movement issues down the line.

The result? A clean, elegant space that feels every bit as solid as it looks luxurious. With motion-sensor lighting built into the niches, even nighttime use feels thoughtful.

Timeframe: 5 weeks

“They were so impressed with the finish that they soon booked us in for bathrooms two and three.”

Phase 2 – Loft Ensuite

Raising the ceiling (literally) for comfort, safety, and natural light

The top-floor ensuite had a very low ceiling (just around 2m high), which made the space feel cramped and unusable. We brought in our trusted builders to raise the ceiling, restructure the roof, and install a new openable loft window—bringing in both daylight and ventilation for the first time.

Underneath it all, we uncovered some serious issues with the existing top floor. We replaced all joists throughout the area to bring it up to a safe, futureproof standard.

With the new ceiling height, we were able to install a comfortable walk-in shower fitted with an Aqualisa digital control system. To finish it off, they took our recommendation on three stunning bespoke glass panels from Profile Glass—adding a truly high-end feel to the space.

Phase 3 – Compact Bathroom off the Landing

Small but mighty – a clever use of limited space

The third bathroom was by far the smallest, but it still delivered serious impact. With space at a premium, we installed a compact wall-hung basin and a wall-hung toilet beneath a niche shelf with integrated lighting—maintaining the continuity of detail across all rooms.

The bespoke shower enclosure made the best of the available space, and the standout feature? A funky, designer radiator that gave the room its own personality.

Even in a small footprint, this space still delivered that wow factor.

Final Result

A home to be proud of—with bathrooms that feel built to last

What made this project special was the partnership. The clients fully trusted our advice when it came to tackling structural challenges, and that trust paid off in every single room. From layout changes to lighting design and behind-the-scenes reinforcements, every detail was carefully considered.

They told us they still walk into their bathrooms and say “wow”—which is exactly what we aim for.

“They’re so proud of their home—and they should be.”
