Phase 3 – Loft-Style Ensuite
Overcoming structural challenges with clever design thinking
The final ensuite was built into a loft-style space, which brought its own set of challenges. Due to the joist structure, we couldn’t drill or notch them for the shower waste as originally planned. But rather than compromise the finish, we created a subtle stud wall to shift the tray centre over—giving us the space to install the waste without affecting the joists.
This quiet solution meant the design integrity remained intact, with no awkward cuts or visible changes to the layout.
Again, premium lighting and storage were integrated seamlessly, and fittings were placed exactly where they were needed for comfort and ease of use.
Phase 2 – Freestanding Bath Ensuite
A complete redesign to make space for both luxury and flow
Two months later, we returned to begin phase two—a full redesign of a large upstairs ensuite. The client’s dream was to incorporate a freestanding bath and a separate walk-in shower, which meant completely rethinking the layout.
To achieve this, we relocated the existing soil stack—a significant change, but one that gave us the space to place everything exactly where it needed to be. The wall-hung toilet, freestanding bath, and shower were all carefully positioned for both aesthetic balance and practical flow.
Lighting and recessed shelving, a theme carried over from the first bathroom, added depth and warmth to the space—while the placement of fittings like the bath tap and shower valves were mapped out for a perfect user experience.

Burton Three-Room Bathroom Transformation
Phase 1 – Downstairs Wetroom
A fully waterproofed walk-in wetroom with layered lighting and clever storage
The original downstairs bathroom had a number of hidden issues, including a leaking shower waste under the concrete floor and visible signs of damp. Our first priority was resolving these properly and future-proofing the room with a full tanking system.
The customer wanted a clean, modern layout with a large walk-in shower, wall-hung toilet and basin, and integrated storage that didn’t compromise on design. One of the standout changes we made was repositioning the wetroom tray to allow the tiling to centre perfectly on key features—something that subtly elevated the overall finish.
Lighting played a huge part in the transformation. We introduced six recessed shelving units with warm LED lighting, under-basin illumination, and a bespoke glass shower enclosure to add that extra level of polish.
Originally planned as a four-week project, additional drying time for the concrete extended the work to five weeks—but the results were more than worth it.

From a damp, dated wetroom to three beautifully lit, high-end bathrooms
Project duration: 5 weeks (wetroom), 6 weeks (ensuites)
What began as a single wetroom renovation quickly evolved into one of our most rewarding and complete home bathroom transformations. Located in Burton, this project started with a downstairs wetroom plagued by poor drainage and signs of damp—and ended with three fully bespoke, beautifully lit bathrooms designed to feel like a luxury retreat.
The customer was a joy to work with throughout—bringing great ideas to the table while staying open to suggestions that made the most of each room. With trust built after phase one, they asked us back just two months later to tackle both large upstairs ensuites.
Final Result
A consistent, high-end finish that impressed from room to room
Each room had its own identity, but together they flowed beautifully. The lighting, layout, and attention to detail created a sense of consistency across all three spaces. The client was thrilled—and told us they were excited to show everything off to friends and family.
“Being open to tweaking layouts really made the difference. It showed what’s possible when design and lighting are done right.”

Final Result
A home to be proud of—with bathrooms that feel built to last
What made this project special was the partnership. The clients fully trusted our advice when it came to tackling structural challenges, and that trust paid off in every single room. From layout changes to lighting design and behind-the-scenes reinforcements, every detail was carefully considered.
They told us they still walk into their bathrooms and say “wow”—which is exactly what we aim for.
